MWCC Sales Team Expanded

St. Paul, MN, 12/21/04 – Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. has added three new highly qualified members to its Sales Team. Complementing the most successful year in its 36-year corporate history, last month’s hires filled new sales positions that reflect the strategic emphasis of the company as an internationally-recognized custom solutions house for the Instrumentation, Medical, Defense, and Telecommunications industries.

The newly created position of International Sales Manager was filled by Bob Pope, a 12-year veteran of Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. Bob has worked in various operations positions within the company, and most recently developed a highly successful outsourcing program. Additionally, his significant industry expertise and connection to customer needs worldwide make him ideally suited for the position. "Bob is a natural leader for this important segment of our expanding sales initiatives," said John Martin, Minnesota Wire’s Director of Corporate Sales. "He brings the right talent and drive required to expand our international business." The Company has already begun aggressively expanding its international business, most recently with visits to Israel and the international Medica trade show in Germany.

The International Sales Team also includes Jen Maahs as the International Customer Service Representative. Jen has been with Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. for three years, has prior international sales experience, and is fluent in German.

The new sales position of Distribution and Emerging Accounts was filled by Robin Nelson. Most recently employed as Inside Sales Representative at Rosemount, Inc., Robin has a solid background in sales, marketing, team leadership and technical support in manufacturing industries. She brings years of experience in customer solutions to complex technical challenges. Additionally, Robin holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and a masters degree in manufacturing systems. Her skills will help Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. retain its focus on commitment to the customer as the company builds on its core business areas, expands into new markets and builds its capabilities in test and measurement.
