New Leadership Joins Minnesota Wire & Cable Co.
St. Paul, MN, 06/29/04: Minnesota Wire & Cable Co.,
a leading manufacturer of wire and custom cable assemblies for
medical, defense, telecommunications and instrumentation announced
today that it has invested heavily in new leadership in key positions.
Integral
to the companyís concerted efforts to bolster product development
and foster accelerated investment in government research and development
(R&D), Minnesota Wire and Cable Co. has hired four senior
managers in recent weeks. This announcement follows quickly
on the heels of two new hires early this month, John Martin as
Director of Corporate Sales and Jeff Johnson as Sales Account
Manager.
The
first of the company's latest hires was Wojciech Strutynski (pronounced
Voy-tek Strew-tin-ski) as Engineering Manager. Voytek brings
manufacturing experience from 12 years at TURCK, finishing his
career there as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The company
looks forward to gaining from his excellence in ensuring efficiencies
in engineering processes.
Chip
Laingen joined the Minnesota Defense Division of Minnesota Wire
and Cable Co. in the new position of Defense Communications Manager.
As a recently-retired Navy Commander and Commanding Officer of
a helicopter squadron, Chip brings substantial leadership experience
and an impressive public affairs and communications background
to the company. His primary responsibility will be the internal
and external communications and leadership necessary in building
the Minnesota Defense Jobs Alliance, a recent company initiative
to link and build relationships among defense industries in Minnesota.
The
third new hire is Tom Kukowski, as the Research and Development
Manager. To complement the Minnesota Defense Divisionís
recent aggressiveness in securing critical government R&D
opportunities, Tom will be chiefly responsible for the formulation
of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and other research
funding proposals. Tom has more than 20 years of program
and project management experience in the development of medical
therapeutic and diagnostic systems, medical devices, building
control and aerospace products.
Finally,
Bruce Hanson joined Minnesota Wire and Cable Co. as the new Computer
Operations Manager. Bruce brings an extensive background
from the Navy and civilian world as a manager of customer, field
service, system and application engineers, and as a technical
sales manager.
