Minnesota Defense Sponsors Twin Cities Navy Ball
St. Paul, MN, 8/16/04 -- Minnesota Defense, a division of Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. has registered as a corporate sponsor of this year’s Twin Cities Navy Birthday Ball.  The ball annually celebrates the founding of the U.S. Navy, an institution that (along with only with the Army and the Coast Guard) is older than the nation itself.  Minnesota Defense is involved with numerous defense-related projects through teaming with other defense firms and Department of Defense research and defense programs such as the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.

This year’s Navy Birthday Ball celebrates the service’s 229th anniversary, and will be held at the Minneapolis Depot in downtown Minneapolis on October 15th.  This year’s honored guest and speaker is the national President of the Navy League, Sheila McNeill.  Minnesota Defense is among several other larger sponsors for the Navy Ball, including Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics.
