Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. Begins Doing Business as "Minnesota Wire"

St. Paul, Minnesota:  05/02/08 – Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. is pleased to announce that beginning May 9, 2008 it will be doing business under the name “Minnesota Wire.”  The company believes it has matured to the point that its national and international customers recognize it by the abbreviated name.

According to Paul Wagner, Minnesota Wire’s Chairman & CEO, “The move reflects a culture of rapid change, creation of exciting new products and processes, and the shift to a high-technology development house.”  The re-branding effort retains the company’s heritage and affords it an opportunity to showcase its modernization in an increasingly competitive market.

Minnesota Wire’s embrace of high technology government R&D work for the past several years has helped it to emerge as a market leader in electrical signal integrity.  The company will retain the tagline that it has had for several years – “Life Saving Connections” – which reflects the pride the company has in producing innovative products for markets such as medical and defense.

The new name and logo will become official on May 9, coincident with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the company’s new production facility in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  The ceremony will take place at 4:00 pm, and will be followed by a reception and tours of the 58,000 square foot factory that began operations early this year.  Anyone interested in attending the ribbon cutting and reception should call Minnesota Wire at 715.874.4580.  The new factory is located at 2515 Prospect Drive, Eau Claire, WI 54703.  The company’s headquarters and R&D facility remains in St. Paul, Minnesota.
