Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. Is Awarded WCCO Good Neighbor Award

St. Paul, MN, 07/29/05 – Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. (MWCC) has been awarded the WCCO Good Neighbor Award for its role in providing free telephone calls to men and women in our armed services at the 2005 Taste of Minnesota which took place June 30 – July 4 at Harriet Island in St. Paul, MN.

Minnesota Wire & Cable Co was awarded the WCCO Good Neighbor Award because of their sponsorship and support of the "Calls to Loved Ones in Iraq" tent. Also receiving this award are The Taste of Minnesota, Select Communications, and Minnesota National Guard. Over the 5 day Taste of Minnesota celebration, X amount of calls were made to service members.
Joan Thompson, MWCC’s Executive Vice President and CFO commented, "It was an honor to be involved with the phone calls to loved ones in Iraq as a gesture of thanks to the defenders of our freedom." She further commented, "Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. will continue to assist soldiers and families communicate with each other in any way possible."
