Wire & Cable Co. Receives First Order for Soldier-Borne Connector™
St. Paul, MN, 3/21/05 --
Minnesota
Defense, a division of Minnesota Wire & Cable Co., announced
today that it received its first order for the Soldier-Borne Connector™
from the David Clark Company, Worcester MA, for 2,200 full-cable
assemblies for use in demanding military and commercial communication
products. David Clark Company Incorporated, the world leader in
noise-attenuating headsets for general aviation and the military,
specializes in communication solutions for any high-noise environment.
The
Soldier-Borne Connector™ is a Minnesota Defense trademarked
product. Its design originates from Minnesota Defense’s
extensive experience designing and manufacturing interconnect
systems for portable and wearable systems. The Soldier-Borne Connector™
is a pin-less, self cleaning, rugged connector.

are thrilled that the David Clark Company is using the Soldier-Borne
Connector™," said Tom Ashenbrenner, Division Manager
for Minnesota Defense. "We are confident that this pioneering
technology is rugged enough to handle severe combat operations
while decreasing maintenance for soldiers."
